❤️ I'm thrilled to share that I've reached 26% of my Earth's Diameter Challenge – walking the full 7,926 miles around our planet!
Loch Lubnaig, one of Scotland's most picturesque lochs, provided the perfect setting for this significant milestone. Located in the Trossachs region of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, this four-mile-long ribbon of water nestles between steep, forested hillsides, creating a scene of serene Highland beauty.

I took frequent breaks on the path, sitting on stones by the water's edge to watch the light change across the loch's surface. Ducks and other waterfowl paddled peacefully near the shore, untroubled by my presence. The tranquillity of this place invited deep reflection on the journey so far – 2,092 miles, more than a quarter of the way to my goal.
The beauty of walking beside Loch Lubnaig lies in its accessibility. This isn't a challenging route requiring special equipment or mountaineering skills. It's a peaceful path where anyone can come to admire nature's beauty, breathe fresh Highland air, and find moments of contemplation.
As I walked, I thought about the 456 days of consistent movement that brought me here. Through all seasons and various weather conditions, the commitment to walking has brought not just physical distance but also mental clarity and spiritual peace. The loch seemed to understand this, its calm waters reflecting not just the mountains but my own sense of purpose and gratitude.
The surrounding mountains – including Ben Ledi to the south – stood as silent witnesses to this milestone. Their permanence reminded me that while my challenge is temporary, the landscapes that inspire us endure, waiting for each new traveller to discover their beauty.
The November day I chose had that crisp, clear quality that Scottish autumns are famous for. The weather was balanced and pleasant – calm enough for comfortable walking, with no rain and just enough wind to ripple the loch's surface into dancing patterns of light.
I walked along the well-maintained path that follows the eastern shore of Loch Lubnaig. The route is beautifully paved in sections, with even surfaces that make for easy, contemplative walking. The A84 road runs nearby, but the path's design keeps walkers close to the water, where the gentle lapping of waves against the shore provides a natural soundtrack.
The loch stretched before me like a mirror, reflecting the surrounding mountains and sky. Autumn had painted the hillsides in shades of bronze, gold, and russet, with the dark green of pine forests providing contrast. The scene was breathtaking in its simplicity – water, mountains, and sky in perfect harmony.

Every step brings me closer to this incredible goal – and reminds me why I love inspiring others to get active outdoors.
Let's keep moving! Insha'Allah, the finish line awaits at 7,926 miles.
